The lodge is hosted by an excellent team of local staff and overseen by the Wood family that live a 5-minute drive away. Guests can enjoy accompanied bush walks, game drives, sundowners, bush meals and farm visits.

The House in the Wild is a welcome retreat for a few days respite while still being “on safari”.

The house was originally a family getaway on the Wood’s commercial farm but has been restored and

lovingly put together by the Tarquin and Lippa and their team.

The mess area and four cottages offer the warmth and rustic charm of a family lodge, with all the home comforts you could ask for.

Guests can get away from the beaten track and experience the ultimate exclusive and private safari alongside a meaningful life changing journey, learning about the inspiring stories of how communities build their livelihoods in harmony

with the wildlife of the Enonkishu Conservancy.

The House in the Wild is a private 12-14 bed lodge, and consists of a main lounge and dining area, a swimming pool with a thatch gazebo and bar and four cottages.

"What a hidden gem this is! Perfect for kids! An incredible spot on the Mara River to enjoy with the family.  Great guide, great food, amazing wildlife - we'll definitely be back"

"We had a wonderful trip, off the beaten track and a chance to experience real life in the Mara. Fantastic and helpful team, Purity's cooking was delicious. We loved the school visit, the hill climb and seeing a leopard as we drove in to the house on our last night, like it had been waiting for us! Can't wait to come again!"

"This is UNACCEPTABLE!  There is NOTHING negative to say!!! I mean this place is heaven on earth.  And not only because of the place and location... but mainly thanks to the entire team. We have lived and travelled in Kenya, travelled the world and never have felt so welcome.  Thank you Moses for amazing game drives and walks, you are a great guide, a great driver and a great "runner / player" with Dohan.  You have great knowledge and experience and you know how to share it.

Thank you Purity for amazing meals. Everything (really everything) was delicious!!  We did not expect such food, and we are leaving with one or two extra kilos;)

Thank you Godfrey! You are an amazing host.  Your smile and your kindness made every moment with you a real pleasure.

Thank you to the rest of the team who made all of this possible.

As our son said many times "WE ARE SO LUCKY!". So Asante Sana, we will be back!
